High Velocity
Chemical Flushing

High Velocity Chemical Flushing
High Velocity Chemical Flushing combines the mechanical scouring power of turbulent flow rates with application-specific chemistry to deliver a deeper, more complete clean than oil or water flushing alone can achieve. Where standard flushing removes loose particulate, chemical flushing targets the contaminants that adhere to pipe walls and internal surfaces — mill scale, rust and corrosion byproducts, sludge, varnish, and mineral scale — using formulations engineered for chelation, degreasing, and passivation. The process is particularly valuable in new construction and major turnaround scenarios where piping systems have accumulated welding slag, fabrication debris, and oxidation during the build phase, as well as in aging systems where deposits have built up over years of operation. Following the chemical flush, a passivation step leaves interior metal surfaces in a protected, chemically stable condition ready for service. The result is a system that meets stringent cleanliness specifications, protects downstream equipment, and enters operation with the longest possible service life ahead of it.
