Varnish is a thin, hard, insoluble deposit that forms on internal metal surfaces when lubricating oil degrades and its oxidation byproducts fall out of solution — and it is one of the most insidious threats to hydraulic and lubrication system reliability. It restricts flow in servo valves and control orifices, causes sluggish or erratic actuator response, accelerates wear, and is effectively invisible to standard particle counting. Varnish eradication uses specialized chemistry and targeted flushing techniques to dissolve and remove existing deposits, restoring system responsiveness and protecting components that standard flushing simply cannot reach.
